Kara Tudman Walker, Director
Kara Tudman Walker is currently the Director of the Central Maine Regional Resource Center. She received her B.S. in Environmental Science with a concentration in biology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst while a scholarship athlete. Following college she pursued an environmental consulting career in Massachusetts prior to relocating to Maine. While working for the Maine Department of Environmental Protection on the State Hazardous Materials team she received her M.S. in Emergency Management. Prior to becoming the CMRRC Director, Kara served as the Exercise and Training Coordinator for the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention. These positions afforded her the opportunity to experience a wide variety of duties from being on the working end of a shovel to dealing with legislative issues and some of her more complicated tasks made the shovel look pretty inviting.
Kris Gammon, Operations Manager
Kris Gammon is the Operations Manager for the Central Maine Regional Resource Center (CMRRC). She is a Master Exercise Planner (MEP) as well as a Certified Hospital Emergency Planner (CHEP). Kris is also a Train-the-Trainer for Hospital Emergency Response Team (HERT) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) programs. Kris has worked in the emergency preparedness field at CMRRC since 2005. Emergency Preparedness training has been conducted through FEMA Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) in Anniston, AL; Emergency Management Institute (EMI) in Emmitsburgh, MD and Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center (EMRTC) in Socorro, NM. Prior to becoming Operations Manager, she has worked in hospital settings in positions such as Human Resource Assistant and Executive Secretary.
